Job Description
The Operations Manager provides leadership, cross-functional development, tactical direction and technical expertise to operational and clerical personnel in various stages of team development in the packaging of Wilson products. Responsible for teams and all operational activities affecting the business. Maximizes the potential of all team members and fosters an environment that allows for progressive continuous improvement of skills.
Responsibilities
Employee Development | People Management
Assists the team with development of objectives and ensures alignment with site goals
Provides timely feedback and evaluates/addresses performance of direct reports
Assesses employee training/development needs and implement actions to address those needs
Supports employee development initiatives in alignment with the business needs
Line Production
Troubleshoots equipment problems, identifies need for new equipment and/or modifications to existing equipment to reduce downtime
Initiates/engages in problem solving and identify short-term and long-term actions to prevent problem reoccurrence
Adheres to the applicable escalation process for safety, quality and downtime events
Approves IQ/OQ/PQ/CC and other documents
Partners with Company Production System (CPS), Process Improvement Engineers and Operators to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
Evaluates and serves as the point-of-contact for all new equipment and/or modifications to existing processes or equipment
Manages adherence to CPS principles, defined line performance standards and key performance indicators utilizing applicable Lean/Six Sigma tools
Information Transfer
Attends departmental and team meetings focused on equipment/process improvement;
Serves as liaison between shifts, teams, IPTs, and COEs;
Participates and/or Leads Tier Meetings
Compliance
Uses Root Cause Analysis tools to identify true root cause for quality and safety events.
Authors, reviews, approves and/or participates in quality investigations.
Initiates, reviews and approves safety investigations;
Participates in internal and external audits and inspections;
Identifies quality-related trends and facilitates implementation of corrective actions
Creates/Revises Standard Operating Procedures, Forms and other batch-related documents
Financial
Adheres to and monitors operating budget and staffing plan per Profit Plan.
Recognizes and investigates opportunities for financial savings;
Leadership
Models Company Leadership Principals and Inclusive Behaviors
Acts as part Site Extended Leadership Team
Education Requirements
High School Diploma/GED or
B.S. degree from an accredited college/university, preferable with emphasis in a science or engineering related discipline
Experience and Skills
Required
Minimum of five years production/manufacturing, preferable in a cGMP environment
Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, technical aptitude, and problem-solving skills
Effective team building skills, including ability to coach/develop work teams, provide training, motivate/empower others, and resolve conflict
Flexible and able to manage multiple priorities
Goal oriented and able to manage risks
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated knowledge of Operational Excellence tools and methodology
Working with SAP inventory
Two years coaching/supervisory
Shift
Availability to work off-shifts and/or weekends

U.S. Hybrid Work Model
Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, Monday - Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence.This Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, field-based positions; facility-based, manufacturing-based, or research-based positions where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely. The salary range for this role is
$94,300.00 - $148,500.00
This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs.
The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable.
