Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial records, supporting audits, and providing valuable insights through variance analysis. This position is based in Bridgewater, New Jersey, and this role would be onsite 2-3 days a week (hybrid schedule). Please apply immediately to be considered!

Responsibilities:

Prepare and review journal entries for corporate functions, including cash, accrued liabilities, insurance reserves, prepaids, T& E, FX, and accounts payable.

Handle journal entries related to inventory functions, covering revaluation and consignment.

Manage intercompany journal entries, including cross charges and reconciliations.

Perform reconciliations for intercompany accounts and ensure all balances are accurate.

Conduct balance sheet account reconciliations and roll forwards, providing detailed variance analysis and explanations.

Present variance commentary during monthly actuals reviews to highlight key financial insights.

Support internal and external audit requests, ensuring compliance with relevant requirements.

Maintain and execute necessary financial controls to safeguard the integrity of accounting processes.

Requirements

Strong experience in account reconciliation, including balance sheet and bank reconciliations.

Proficiency in preparing journal entries and working with the general ledger.

Expertise in month-end close processes and variance analysis.

Advanced knowledge of financial systems such as SAP S/4HANA, HFM, and PeopleSoft.

Skilled in using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
