Job Description

General Insulation Company is excited to announce the availability of a full-time position for a NON CDL DOT Driver. This role is pivotal in maintaining our commitment to excellent service delivery and ensuring that our operations remain seamless. As a NON CDL DOT Driver, you will be integrally involved in the day-to-day operations of our distribution processes. It’s important to note that this position is not a remote job and involves active engagement within our logistical framework. Duties and Responsibilities

Works under the direction of the Operations or Warehouse Manager.
Ensures all orders are pulled correctly and inventory is accurate.
Unload/load all incoming and outgoing freight.
Make all deliveries on time.
Be the “eyes and ears” of the company in the field by reporting any customer feedback or competitive information to Operations or General Manager.
Ensure cleanliness of warehouse and office area.
Pick up materials from local vendors.
Restock materials.
Clean trucks.
Work with Inside Sales to ensure routing of truck is efficient.
Maintains a safety mindset in all duties performed, especially (but not limited to) driving, material handling, and job site evaluation.
Performs additional functions (essential or otherwise), which may be assigned.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
A valid NON CDL Class C driver’s license and DOT physical card is required.
Must be able to pass a mandatory drug screen.
Willing to work occasional odd hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Occasional travel may be required.
High school Diploma or equivalent; preferably two (2) years of safe driving experience.
Proficiency in the use of forklift and warehouse equipment.
Must possess good communication skills with customers, teammates, and employees at all levels of the company.
Must be able to lift and move items of 70 pounds and/or more on a regular basis and repetitively lift weights of 40 - 50 pounds on raised surfaces.
Must be able to climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop on a frequent basis and for extended periods.
Duties are typically performed in a warehouse/truck/driving environment but may include some office duties.
