Description
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Administrator, Yardi Systems is responsible for the configuration, support, and optimization of the Yardi Voyager platform. This role ensure that the business processes are streamlined, compliant, and efficient, while serving as the internal expert for Yardi Modules included but not limited to Voyager, PAYscan, CHECKscan, Forecast IQ, and more. Within the responsibilities of this role, a specialized expertise in financial and system related tasks to ensure that the system supports accurate reporting and financial structures.
System Administration & Configuration:
Administer Yardi Voyager and related modules including system setup, security roles, permissions, and updates.
Maintain system configurations across compliance, property management, and accounting functions.
Customize menus, workflows, and reports to align with operational needs.
Coordinate timely system updates and version control with the Manager, Yardi Systems.
Assist in system upgrades, testing, and new module implementations.
User Access & Support:
Manage user access, roles, and security protocols to ensure compliance and data integrity.
Provide Tier 2 support to property/site-level users and act as an escalation point for cross-departmental support
issues.
Troubleshoot technical issues and escalate unresolved problems to the Manager or external vendors.
Train new users on Yardi system functionality, data standards, and financial workflows.
Process Optimization & Workflow Design:
Assist in the design and optimization of software workflows to meet business needs.
Identify and recommend system improvements to increase efficiency and functionality.
Support business process reviews across departments on an annual basis.
Lead and contribute to Yardi-related projects including new product integrations and enhancements.
Data Integrity, Audits & Compliance:
Conduct regular system audits to ensure data accuracy, regulatory compliance, and performance benchmarks.
Ensure adherence to financial reporting and compliance requirements through secure and accurate system
setup.
Oversee integration with third-party vendors to ensure data security and system compatibility.
Documentation & SOPs:
Collaborate with Yardi Support Specialists to document system procedures and create solutions guides.
Update and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to Yardi usage and administration.
Project & Implementation Support
Assist in the planning, testing, and deployment of system upgrades and affordable module enhancements.
Participate in cross-functional Yardi-related projects and contribute affordable housing expertise.
Success Metrics:
Ticket resolved within SLA
System Update(s) / patch implementation on schedule
Accuracy of system configuration changes
Process Improvement proposals submitted
EXPERIENCE
3-5+ years working in an affordable housing management software such as Yardi, RealPage, MRI or similar
3-5+ years Yardi administrator experience a must
5+ years of Accounting related experience a must
Experience working in Freshservice or other ticketing system
Familiarity working with 3rd party software vendors and consultants
Familiarity with project management principles and planning, Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) principles, and
business process improvement methodologies a plus.
Experience and a thorough understanding of information technology best practices and procedures with ability to effectively
coach, mentor and communicate with end-users and other helpdesk personnel.
EDUCATION
Work experience or education equivalent to an associate or bachelor's degree.
Certifications and mid-high level affordable housing knowledge required.
Strong understanding of Accounting required
SQL basic to intermediate knowledge preferred
Requirements
Experience supporting, managing and optimizing end-user environments.
Yardi Voyager deployment, administration and troubleshooting experience preferred or willing to train.
Strong Excel, skills; proficient on Word and Outlook.
Skilled on data entry for system input with excellent proofreading skills.
Excellent listening and communication skills (written and oral).
Ability to work independently and effectively to support a team.
Detail-oriented and able to document effectively
Self-Sufficient and resourceful; strong problem solving skills
Ability to learn a variety of business applications specific to our industry.

The salary rage for this position is $75,000.00 - $85,000.00. The actual compensation may vary depending on a wide range of factors, including experience, skills, qualifications, certifications, location, etc. This range does not include additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
