Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Woodbridge, Virginia. This role offers an excellent opportunity to expand your accounting expertise while contributing to a fast-paced and collaborative environment. Candidates with experience in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks are highly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

Perform accurate data entry for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions.

Review and verify expense reports to ensure compliance with company policies.

Process invoices, including coding and filing, in a timely manner.

Maintain and manage vendor records, ensuring all information is up-to-date.

Collaborate with team members to address high-volume workloads effectively.

Respond to invoice-related customer inquiries with professionalism and clarity.

Assist in payment processing tasks to ensure timely and accurate transactions.

Utilize QuickBooks to manage accounting functions and support reporting needs. Requirements - Previous experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general accounting.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks is strongly preferred.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numerical data accurately.

Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.

Effective communication skills for managing vendor relationships and team collaboration.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-volume work environment.

Knowledge of standard accounting practices and procedures.

Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems or processes as needed.
