Position Summary:
The Sr. Software Engineer will perform all duties in the software development process ranging from requirements definition and design through implementation, integration, test, deployment, and improvement.
The position will use in-depth technical and business knowledge to solve complex problems and improve products with a new perspective using existing solutions. The position performs tasks independently with minimal guidance, acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience and provides leadership to peers. The position impacts a range of customer, operational, project, or service objectives within R&D.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Participates in cross-functional teams to define and analyze requirements for new features or enhancements to products.
Estimates development effort and provide accurate work progress status.
Produces and maintains all software engineering deliverables including software documentation, code, test plans and test results.
Provide leadership to peers within an Agile framework.
Assures that deliverables meet all relevant quality, safety, regulatory, serviceability, and reliability requirements.
Reviews code proposals and submissions of teammates individually and in Design Reviews
Stays up to date on software technology and best practices in relevant areas.
Completes other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical, mechanical, or related engineering discipline
5+ years of experience in related field
Preferred Qualifications:
AWS and Azure infrastructure and service development
React, Angular, Electron and related technologies
C, C++, C#, .NET, Microsoft Windows, Python
Ci/CD Pipeline, Terraform, YAML
Familiarity with documentation tools (e.g., Confluence, JIRA, JAMA, Master-Control)
User interface development
General understanding of client/server software architectures
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work as both individual contributor and as part of multi-disciplinary team
Project leadership and people management skills
Proven ability to perform new solution development as well as enhancement of existing software components
Software development in an FDA-regulated industry
Experience working within a prescribed software development process

The total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401K match, and/or other applicable compensation plans.
