Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Responsibilities You will serve as the technical liaison between PMRF, Fleet commands, the event sponsor, Commander, Joint Region Marianas and other external agencies or commands that are involved in the planning of scheduled Fleet training events and exercises. You will provide technical guidance on contracting/acquisitions best practices to internal and external customers. You will ensure command contracts are completed in a timely, cost-effective manner. You will prepare and disseminate documentation related to contracting/acquisitions functions and best practices. You will develop and coordinate assignments and plans related to the Command's contracting/acquisitions functions. You will read and interpret Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of the Navy (DON) acquisitions and program management policies to ensure program compliance. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of CONTRACTING OFFICER REPRESENTATIVE experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing contracting/acquisitions functions for a unit or team such as: inspecting and verifying the work of contractors; resolving problems related to contracting/acquisitions; and/or providing technical guidance on contracting/acquisitions compliance policies and procedures. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
