Summary You will serve as a INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in the Information Technology and Cyber Security (IT&CS) Department, Code 109 of PSNS and IMF. Responsibilities You will provide information assurance/information system security for networks that comprise a variety of data communication and computing devices. You will Configure, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain vulnerability management tools inclusive of Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS). You will ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and Higher Headquarters (HHQ) guidance. You will monitor systems, Operating Systems (OSes) and other IT equipment primarily used by the cybersecurity operations staff. You will recognize and search for potential security issues and as well as network security issues/breaches, and take appropriate action to identify and thwart possible intruders or unauthorized personnel. You will promote general cybersecurity awareness among peers, internal/external customers, ensuring sound security principles are adhered to. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: configuring, operating, and troubleshooting sensor platforms( e.g. Splunk or SOAR) to improve cybersecurity situational awareness. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
