Summary You will serve as a FLEET AND FAMILY READINESS PROGRAM MANAGER in the REGIONAL FLEET AND FAMILY READINESS PROGRAM of COMMANDER, NAVY REGION NORTHWEST. Responsibilities You will identify areas for improvement to assure maximum utilization of family readiness programs, facilities, equipment, and personnel. You will brief managers on family readiness program policies, procedures, and issues. You will assess job qualification requirements to identify employee training or certification needs. You will formulate budget proposals and cost estimates for departmental plans, programs, activities, and material needs of the organization. You will manage a family readiness program (e.g., newsletter, website, toll free phone messages) in accordance with the Family Readiness Handbook You will promote quality of life and educational opportunities for military personnel and their families Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized executive level experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Use knowledge of military quality of life programs (MWR, MFSC, family and unaccompanied housing, child and youth, wounded warrior, and Galley) to lead a large civilian workforce; 2) Resolve complex Fleet and Family Readiness program issues by identifying solutions to problems; 3) Coordinates with military agencies, personnel and the local community to plan Fleet and Family Readiness programs and events; 4) Develop Fleet and Family Readiness procedures for implementing directives and new procedures from higher authority; and 5) Develop and execute a budget.
