Heyl, Royster, Voelker & Allen, P.C., is a large, fast-paced law firm seeking motivated, organized, and reliable individual for a full-time File Clerk opening in our Edwardsville office.

A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A FILE CLERK

As a File Clerk, you will spend most of your time independently

conducting file management and maintenance. You will organize paperwork according to an efficient filing system and digitalize all necessary documents. You willpossess excellent computers skillsand be detail-oriented, protecting and updating files and making them easily accessible to colleagues.

This position will also assist with docket responsibilities. In this

capacity you will spend your time independently processing electronic documents, including incoming mail, court filings, emails andreports obtained from court websites. You will input deadlines, important dates and events into our computer system. You will be responsible for insuring that all events are assigned proper and accurate attorney coverage. You will prepare and distribute daily docket reports.You will distribute documents and make them easily accessible to colleagues.

You will also provide excellent customer service to the attorneys,

paralegals, and staff.

QUALIFICATIONS TO BE A FILE CLERK

High school diploma or equivalent required

Must have excellent computer skills working with Microsoft Office

and office equipment such as a photocopier, scanner, etc.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Exceptional attention to detail

Outstanding organizational skills

Despite a fast pace and short timeframes, you excel and are efficient and thorough with multiple-large-volume tasks. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills to help improve processes and documentation to minimize errors.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range is \$ 15.50 to \$ 23.00 an hour. The salary offered will take into account several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications/credentials, talent availability and specialization, as well as business needs. The range may be modified in the future.
