Position Overview:
Join our leading industry team at Huntington T. Block (HTB) Insurance Agency, an Aon Affinity business unit. As a FA and MI, inland marine Account Executive I, you will be responsible for parlaying existing business contacts into potential prospective insureds and empowering our clients by delivering innovative and effective insurance solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify potential prospects and drive business development opportunities as-well-as manage day-to-day account relationships with assigned Fine Art (FA) or Musical Instrument (MI) insurance clients, ensuring proficiency in coverage and processes. Retain and grow the assigned book of business through risk review, analysis, and data gathering in line with Property and Casualty (P&C) industry standards and HTB underwriting guidelines and established workflow.
Initiate, connect, create, build and maintain effective business relationships with prospects, clients, and underwriters.
Actively attend and dynamically network at industry events including art fairs, gallery, and exhibition openings. Some travel may be required.
Organize and help encourage and foster the HTB team's visible participation at the above referenced or similar
Contribute to and help support the team's annual new business sales goal, with individual sales goals typically $150,000 or less.
Ensure accurate risk assessment, documentation, and decision-making, with clear communication internally and externally.
Actively study the FA & MI, inland marine lines of coverage policy forms and learn the required Account Executive I related duties, including established workflow, and responsibilities.
Become familiar with other P&C lines of coverage in order to better serve as a Trusted Risk Advisor and in support of referral activity to HTB Commercial Lines and other Affinity business units including Aon Private Risk Management (APRM).
Effectively manage assigned book of business which will consist of mid to high complexity client accounts.
Achieve renewal account policy retention goals by understanding coverage and client needs, adhering to service delivery standards.
Remarkets and brokers existing policies based on client requests or market conditions.
Support the renewal process by drafting quote comparisons and coverage analysis.
Carefully produces and delivers new and renewal solicitations, quotes, certificates of insurance, binders, policies, schedules, invoices, and endorsements promptly.
Resolve prospect or client service issues and manage accounts receivables.
Use sound judgment and independent thinking within accepted authority.
Identify premium growth opportunities through cross-selling.
Collect and monitor competitive intelligence; contribute to product development.
Provide coverage overviews and clarifications to clients or brokers.
Assists Senior member of the HTB staff with processing of Policies, Endorsement, Certificates of insurance and any other requests when asked.
May be asked to attend and network at association conventions, conferences, trade shows, museum/gallery openings, business luncheons and similar events if and as assigned. Some travel may be required.
Work independently with moderate guidance and supervision.
Seek out new and challenging projects.
Perform other duties as required.
Skills and experience that will lead to success:
5 years of insurance industry account management experience; or proven, substantive experience in visual, performing arts, art galleries and dealers, art fairs and exhibitions, auction houses, art collectors and investors.
Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to multi-task and work in a team environment.
Strong analytical skills and familiarity with carrier underwriting systems is a plus.
Self-motivated, highly organized, and detail oriented.
Proficiency in MS Office suite, especially Excel.
Resident broker Property & Casualty license required and must be obtained within 90 days of hiring.
Education:
Four-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required; studies in risk management or business are a plus.
Advanced degree or P&C insurance industry designation such as ARM, CPCU, or CIC is a plus.

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $70,000 to $90,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
