Job Overview:
Generally expected to work as a valued member of the XL Specialized Trailers team. This role will primarily be our internal point of contact with customers in the following areas: Quotations and Orders; processes Parts & Service calls; handles Warranty claims; and other customer service and marketing projects. Providing a Premier Customer Experience!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Services existing customers by serving as the primary internal contact for customers while collaborating with Regional Sales Managers, Engineering and Production to ensure the existing customer is receiving the value they expect from their implemented solutions.
Provides product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests for parts.
Represents the company by attending trade shows and seminars.
Prepares pricing estimates and quotations using price lists and product literature by studying sales drawings, trailer specifications, options, and related customer documents; consulting with engineering, production, and other technical personnel.
Submits parts, service and product orders by entering data into database.
Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analysis.
Handles warranty claims; resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc..
Recommends changes in products, services, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
Completes operational requirements by following company policies and procedures; reporting needed changes; following up on work results.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. Wears proper personal protective equipment.
Identifies and anticipates safety and health concerns and hazards by surveying environmental, operational, and occupational conditions.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing relating results as needed.
Ancillary Duties:
Assist with the continuous process improvement of XL Specialized Trailers.
Perform any other tasks assigned working cross-functionally in marketing, advertising, and social media to support and improve the overall operations of the XL Specialized Trailers.

Works under broad supervision. The employee is responsible for planning and carrying out the assignment, keeping the supervisor informed of progress and potential problems or future implications.

Daily contact requiring courtesy, discretion, and sound judgment.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Three to five years sales/customer service experience in a manufacturing environment.
