Accounting Specialist

Description We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to join our team in Stockton, California. This contract position is ideal for someone with a strong background in managing financial processes, including accounts payable and receivable, billing, and account reconciliation. You will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our accounting operations.

Responsibilities:

Process accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors.

Manage accounts receivable functions, including invoicing and monitoring outstanding payments.

Handle billing tasks, verifying charges and resolving discrepancies promptly.

Perform account reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records.

Assist in maintaining compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.

Generate financial reports and provide insights to support decision-making.

Address and resolve any accounting discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.

Support audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or related roles.

Proficiency in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Strong knowledge of billing functions and account reconciliation.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Familiarity with accounting software and tools.

Strong communication skills for effectively collaborating with team members.

Knowledge of general accounting principles and practices.
