Job Summary
We are looking for a work-study student to work alongside our Actor Training Program Area Head as Program Assistant. This work-study opportunity allows a current student in the program to gain hands-on experience in arts administration. It involves assisting with social media support, area specific events, working behind-the-scenes with recruitment, studio space upkeep, guest artist liaison, student communications and various administrative tasks.
Qualifications: MUST HAVE WORK - STUDY FUNDING FOR THE CURRENT ACADEMIC YEAR .

Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Facilitate guest artist visits, including logistics, scheduling, and ensuring a seamless experience:
Assist with prospective student visits and recruitment events, providing information, tours of DOT spaces and representing the program.
Contribute to the program's online presence by assisting with content creation and scheduling, adhering to established social media guidelines.
Assist in drafting and editing program communications such as announcements and newsletters.
Studio & Equipment Management:
Weekly Studio Organization: Ensure acting furniture, props, and equipment in studio spaces are organized and in their designated places.
Inventory & Reporting: Help maintain an inventory of program equipment. Report any missing items, damages, or repair needs promptly to the appropriate staff.
Assist with the setup and strike of studio spaces for ATP Lab or other special ATP or recruitment events.
Administrative & Clerical Support:
Run errands on campus as needed to support program operations.
Assist with other administrative tasks as assigned by the Area Head or DOT Office Staff.
Employee will be responsible for a variety of assignments and must work well in a multi-tasking environment. Job will include correspondence with prospective students and University personnel and assisting students and visitors to the department.

Must be a currently enrolled student in the Acting Program.
Must be eligible for Federal Work-Study funding.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with major social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) and some content creation skills.
Proficiency in standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Passion for the performing arts and commitment to supporting students' artistic growth.
Ability to conform to an established work schedule, typically between 15-20 hours per week, ensuring that hours do not exceed the student's work-study award.
Ability to lift and carry items up to [e.g., 25 pounds] (specific weight limit as appropriate).
Demonstrated ability to be reliable, punctual, and proactive in identifying and addressing needs.
