At KBR, we are seeking an experienced Production Engineer supporting the Aviation Rockets and Small Guided Munitions (ARSGM) Product Office in Huntsville, AL. The Production Engineer is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the manufacturing and production processes for systems, equipment, and components used in Department of Defense programs. This role ensures that production meets quality, cost, and schedule requirements while adhering to DoD standards and specifications. The Production Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency, resolve technical issues, and ensure the delivery of mission-critical products. Roles and Responsibilities

Production Planning and Oversight: Develop and implement production plans, schedules, and workflows to meet program requirements. Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency and compliance with DoD standards.

Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve production methods, reduce costs, and enhance product quality. Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to streamline operations.

Technical Support: Provide engineering expertise to resolve technical issues during production. Collaborate with design and quality assurance teams to ensure manufacturability and adherence to specifications.

Compliance and Standards: Ensure production processes comply with DoD regulations, such as MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-810, and ISO standards. Conduct audits and inspections to verify compliance.

Documentation and Reporting: Prepare production reports, metrics, and documentation for program managers and stakeholders. Maintain records of production activities, inspections, and certifications.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in industrial, mechanical, manufacturing engineering or a related field

2-5 years of experience

Ability to obtain and/or maintain a DoD secret clearance

Proficient in production planning tools and methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

2-5 years' experience in the quality assurance field

Experience with the ARSGM product office

Knowledge of DoD standards and regulations

Detail-oriented with a focus on precision and compliance

Strong understanding of defense systems and operational requirements

Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
