As a Manufacturing Engineer I you'll work with a team of engineers and stakeholders to develop and improve manufacturing processes to determine appropriate designs and processes in support of customer requirements.

What You Will Do:
In this 2nd Shift role, your responsibilities may include the following:
Assisting in the development of Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) including assembly instructions, workflow/routing, labor standards, tool, and fixture designs
Supporting process troubleshooting and incorporation of engineering changes into the MDP
Dispositioning non-conforming material with root cause and corrective action analyses
Driving Continuous Improvement through process improvements to improve cycle time, reduce ergonomic risk to assemblers, automate, reduce costs (both direct and indirect) using Core/Six Sigma principles and data driven decision making
Providing real-time technical support to manufacturers and fabricators; in-house as well as the supply base.
Helping with Tool/fixture development to drive ergonomics into processes
The ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF) clearance.
This job is posted as ONSITE, and is based at Raytheon's Redstone Arsenal, AL facility.
Working Hours for this 2nd Shift job are: Monday - Thursday 2:00PM - 12:30AM (4 10 hour shifts). Pay includes an 8% Shift Differential.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years prior relevant experience
Experience assembling machinery or hardware
Experience troubleshooting manufacturing or mechanical problems
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience with technical drawing interpretation, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Proficiency with CAD solid modeling tools (preference for CREO/ProE)
Experience with automated tooling, machinery and programming
Demonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude with the ability to work across disciplines
Innovative mindset that drives continuous improvement and keeps pace with advances in technology
Ability to work in a team environment
Excellent organizational skills with fine attention to detail and ability to successfully multitask

The salary range for this role is 55,000 USD - 107,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
