Job Title: Electrical Technician (contract)

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Electrical/Controls Tech with a strong experience in the electrical field, particularly in panel building and testing of electrical equipment. This position involves testing 600-volt battery backup enclosures to ensure their functionality and durability, as well as troubleshooting any issues that may arise.

Responsibilities

Conduct testing on 600-volt batteries to assess functionality and durability.

Troubleshoot and resolve any issues identified during testing.

Build and set up electrical panels and boxes.

Perform electrical testing, which can be taught as part of the role.

Read and interpret electrical schematics accurately.

Potentially transition to a Level 2 role involving PLC editing and modification, depending on experience.

Collaborate with Senior Controls Technicians and Engineers.

Utilize any panel design experience as an added advantage.

Essential Skills

Experience in panel building and testing of electrical equipment.

Proficiency in schematic design and interpretation.

Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical systems.

Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.

Experience with PLC programming and modification.

Skills & Qualifications Needed

2+ years of recent electrical, controls, or panel technician experience.

Previous experience in the electrical field or manufacturing where the equipment or product has electrical systems, wiring, etc.

Automation experience highly preferred.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Capability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Effective communication skills for documenting and reporting findings.

Any experience in panel design is considered a plus.

The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with likely opportunities for overtime.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $26.00/hr.
