Overview
Graham Packaging is looking for a motivated and organized individual to join our Equipment Team with purchasing and inventory management responsibilities. This role includes purchasing materials for assembly of our equipment operations, staging parts and sub-assemblies, managing inventory levels and shipping and receiving responsibilities. This position may include up to 10% travel to vendor or other Graham Packaging locations.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The primary duties of the Parts Coordinator include:
Providing support to the Equipment Operations Team by being the primary buyer and partnering with procurement for all machine related procurement needs.
Utilizing Graham's procurement systems to purchase and receive all mechanical and electrical components related to Equipment Operations.
Serving as the primary group contact for all accounts receivable, accounts payable, and shipment activities.
Receiving materials, reviewing packing slips and staging materials for active projects.
Managing the shop floor by organizing incoming materials to maintain assembly production flow.
Supporting warehouse area organization, cleanliness and required inventory of stock components and materials.
Assisting engineers Bill Of Materials, to include part definitions, classifications and specifications.
Participating with the Equipment Team on supplier qualifications, supplier improvement activities and supplier quality events.
Managing vendor notifications on price changes, material supply, or product line changes by proactively communicating to the team and updated on Bill Of Materials.
Work with engineering team on vendor improvements, vendor qualifications, or vendor quality issues.
Providing phone support for team members in the field that may need parts support.
Assisting with Graham's critical spares warehouse activities, to include processing requests from plants, managing inventory and shipping.
Providing support in subassembly preparation as required.
Travel to vendor or remote production plants as required.
Adhering to Graham's Safety First mindset and promote a safe workplace environment.
Qualifications
Requirements:
High school diploma / GED
Proficiency with computers to include suite of Microsoft Office Products: Outlook, Teams,Excel, Word, Project
3+ years of experience with inventory management
3+ years of serving in a procurement / purchasing role.
Ability to travel at least 10%
Mechanical proficiency to include overall knowledge of equipment and tools
Ability to operate a fork-lift
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment assembling equipment, wooden crates or prepare boxes for shipping when needed
Experience with or ability to learn ERP systems, familiarity with SAP preferred.
Attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Additional Desireable Skills
Knowledge of 5S
Knowledge of warehouse and inventory best practices
Knowledge of hydraulics, electro-mechanical systems
Familiarity procuring fabricated parts; weldments, machined parts, electrical panels and assemblies
Compensation Statement
The expected salary range for the position described in this posting is made in accordance with the legal mandates of certain jurisdictions within the United States. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on individual qualifications and experience.
