Overview
Graham Packaging Company is looking for a Electrical Engineer Technician to work at our York, PA location (Farmbrook plant). This position will work a 3rd shift schedule, from 11pm to 7am.
As a Electrical Engineer Technician at Graham Packaging, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our production equipment. Your responsibilities will include inspecting, repairing, and maintaining machinery, developing preventative maintenance procedures, and enhancing equipment uptime through professional maintenance practices. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to ensure optimal production performance.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect Machines and Systems:
Utilize problem-solving methodology and root cause analysis to identify issues in machines and systems.
Conduct thorough inspections to ensure machinery is operating correctly and efficiently.
Repair Equipment:
Repair faulty equipment units, including PLCs and robotic arms.
Address and fix damaged automatic and semi-automatic machines to minimize downtime and maintain production flow.
Preventative Maintenance:
Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures to avoid unexpected equipment failures.
Schedule and perform regular maintenance tasks to ensure equipment longevity and reliability.
Increase Machine Uptime:
Apply professional maintenance practices, such as Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), to maximize machine uptime and productivity.
Continuously seek ways to improve maintenance processes and reduce equipment downtime.
Plan and Schedule Repairs:
Create and manage a repair schedule to ensure timely maintenance and minimize production disruptions.
Coordinate with production and other departments to align repair activities with operational needs.
Quality Checks:
Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to verify that they meet industry standards and operational requirements.
Implement corrective actions as necessary to address any identified deficiencies.
Budget Development and Implementation:
Assist in the development and implementation of the maintenance department's budget.
Monitor expenditures to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints and optimize resource allocation.
Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate inventory records for equipment and supplies.
Ensure that necessary parts and materials are available for maintenance activities and reorder as needed.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in maintenance engineering, particularly with PLCs and robotic arms.
Strong problem-solving skills and experience with root cause analysis.
Knowledge of preventative maintenance techniques and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
Ability to plan and schedule maintenance activities effectively.
Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Compensation Statement
The expected salary range for the position described in this posting is made in accordance with the legal mandates of certain jurisdictions within the United States. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on individual qualifications and experience.
