About the Interim Sales Manager position
Our hotels bring people together. While we fill our open Director of Sales & Marketing position, we're searching for an Interim Sales Manager capable of juggling leads and bookings, building strong client relationships and pulling together truly unforgettable stays, meetings and conferences.
A little taste of your day-to-day
Every day is different at IHG, but you'll mostly be:
Developing/implementing strategies to increase group revenue to achieve group sales goals
Networking and building relationships with potential clients and partners
Creating and negotiating contracts and pricing for group business
Providing exceptional customer service to clients throughout the sales process
Planning and attending events and trade shows to promote the property and generate leads
Staying current with industry trends and best practices to remain competitive in the market
Delivering exceptional service standards in-person, on email or over the phone
Establishing client requirements to effectively facilitate their needs
Responding to enquiries and upselling to maximise sales, occupancy and revenue
Accurately logging all enquiries in the sales and catering system
Compiling accurate function sheets and regular reports for the Operations Team
What we need from you
Previous groups experience in a hotel or sales role
Passion for providing excellent client experiences and client engagement
Confidence in proactively preventing problems and ability to handle service recovery following any complaints
Love of working in a fast-paced, motivated team with a desire for the next step in your career
Excellent attention to detail
Exceptional administrative and time-management skills
Willingness to work as part of a team and learn new things

The salary range for this role is $35.00 to $45.00. This is the lowest to highest pay scale we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. This rate range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Washington, DC. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
