As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a prominent educational location, you will be the first point of contact for students, staff, and visitors. What You'll Do:
Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
Provide customer service to clients, students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and/or credentials as required.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences at the front desk.
Assist with visitor management, including logging guests and providing directions or information as needed.
Support emergency response activities when appropriate, coordinating with Allied Universal management and local authorities as directed.
Help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive behavior through professional presence and adherence to site policies.
What We're Looking For:
Availability across various days and shifts
Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Minimum Requirements:
Must have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience, or 2 or more years of security supervisor or manager experience, or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
