Job Title: Accounting AssistantJob Description

We are seeking an entry-level Accounting Assistant to support our accounting team on a temporary basis. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Enter invoices accurately, which comprises 50% of the role.

Assist with various accounting support tasks, making up the other 50% of the role.

Support accounts payable and receivable functions.

Reconcile bank statements and vendor accounts.

Maintain accurate and organized financial records.

Assist with month-end close activities.

Provide general administrative support to the accounting team.

Essential Skills

1-2 years of experience in accounting or administrative roles.

Understanding of accounting principles.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred but not required).

Work Environment

This is a hybrid role with one day a week required onsite in SSF (Tuesdays), and three days working from home. The position is based in SSF, Eastbay, or Campbell. The initial term is for six months, with potential for extension or conversion depending on budget and business needs in 2026.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $31.00/hr.
