Koniag Professional Services (KPS) currently has an opening for an Acquisition Technology Advisor for the Department of Defense Office of the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Officer's (CDAO) Acquisition and Assurance Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Government with navigating the ever-changing landscape of Defense-relevant technologies and serving as a technical POC, on behalf of the Government, for Acquisition stakeholders.
The Acquisition Technology Advisor will play a pivotal role in driving the digital transformation and innovation agenda of the organization. Reporting directly to the Deputy CDAO of Acquisitions, this position will provide strategic leadership, technical expertise, and guidance on all aspects of technology and digital initiatives. The primary responsibility will be to ensure alignment between technology strategies and business objectives, driving the adoption of cutting-edge technologies to enhance organizational efficiency, agility, and competitiveness.
Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
Assists the Government with developing and executing the organization's technology roadmap, aligning it with business goals and objectives.
Identifies emerging technologies and trends relevant to the organization's industry and devise strategies for their adoption.
Assists the Government with leading the evaluation and adoption of new technologies, tools, and methodologies that drive innovation and improve business processes.
Fosters a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement within the organization.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive digital transformation initiatives, leveraging technologies such as AI, machine learning, data analytics, IoT, and cloud computing.
Develop strategies to integrate digital solutions seamlessly into existing workflows and systems.
Provides expert guidance and mentorship to technical teams, ensuring the adoption of best practices, standards, and methodologies.
Fosters a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovation among technology professionals.
Engages with key stakeholders across the organization to understand their technology needs, challenges, and opportunities.
On behalf of the Government, acts as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and acquisition workforce, providing insights and recommendations on technology-related matters.
Identifies potential risks and security threats associated with technology initiatives and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
Ensures compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Evaluates and manages relationships with technology vendors, service providers, and strategic partners.
Assists the Government with the negotiation of contracts and agreements to ensure optimal terms and value for the organization.
Stays abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices through continuous learning and participation in professional networks and forums.
Shares insights and thought leadership internally and externally to enhance the organization's reputation as a technology leader.
Prepares documentation review for various documents, including acquisition, other program document, and technical papers, and correspondence. Ensure documents are prepared in the appropriate format and are free from grammatical errors.
Assists other team members in other tasks and initiatives as needed to accomplish the overall mission.
Requirements:
15+ years of related experience
Extensive knowledge of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science concepts, methodology, techniques, and technologies
Experience conducting strategic planning for an emerging technology mission area
Experience authoring reports, position paper, and briefs in support of the development of the National Defense Strategy and/or an Office of the Secretary of Defense-level technology strategy
Experience authoring technology strategic plans, roadmaps, and implementation and action plans
Experience conducting technology risk assessments and developing recommendations for Senior-leaders
Experience developing organizational-level metrics and performance indicators
Experience designing and executing complex data collection methodologies and performing quantitative and qualitative analysis
Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation and the DoD-specific acquisition policies and processes
Strong organizational, project management and problem-solving skills with impeccable multi-tasking abilities
Ability to uphold a strict level of discretion and confidentiality
Ability to take a conceptual discussion and build a presentation to convey the message.
Highly motivated professional and capable of managing demanding workload while prioritizing and managing competing priorities
Demonstrates excellent communication skills, a high level of integrity, critical thinking, and leadership courage.
Advanced MS Word and PowerPoint skills; proficient MS Teams, Excel and Outlook application skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

To be considered, must have a CURRENT/ACTIVE SECRET security clearance and be upgradable to TOP SECRET/SCI.
