Summary You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst in the Financial Division of TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY, BANGOR. Responsibilities You will interpret standard organizational budgetary, accounting, or financial administrative procedures, practices, and regulations. You will plan and carry out assignments in conformance with accepted accounting, budget, or financial practices adhering to instructions, policies, and guidelines. You will assist with control and reporting of obligations and expenditures. You will compile, analyze, and summarize financial and/or budget information related to assigned areas of a financial program. You will analyze, forecast, and interpret functions associated with the management and control of resources or funds. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-07) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing budgetary or accounting data, tracking funds for special programs, or processing actions pertaining to payroll, cash control or benefit systems, to ensure any changes in program plans contribute to a cost effective and timely use of funds. GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-05) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Utilizing automated financial systems to locate, compile, analyze, and summarize accounting, budgetary, or financial data to assist with budgetary or cost estimation formulation and preparation of financial summaries. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: For GS-09: Successful completion of a Master's or equivalent graduate degree; OR Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Master's degree; OR Possession of an LL.B. or J.D., in a field directly related to the position being filled. OR For GS-07: Successful completion of one full year of graduate level education; OR Successful completion of a Bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement.
