JOB SUMMARY

· The Technician is tasked with providing detailed testing results to support the advancement of Polyolefin and Specialty Product Development.

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS

· Performs Propertiesmechanical testing on polyolefin resins and films

· Interfaces with internal customers on a daily basis

· Operates and maintains analytical and physical properties testing equipment

· Ensures data reliability through adherence to quality objectives and develops all method support documentation

· Prepares and tests samples by following detailed ASTM methods to provide high quality data

· Calculates, analyzes and interprets data

· Loads data to the work order management system for review by Ph. D. Scientists and Engineers

· Efficiently manages their work request backlog and turnaround time

· Performs methods development work as needed for product development

· Solves analytical problems and leads efforts to introduce new technologies to support the business

· Stewards third party instrument calibrations and performs equipment verifications

· Performs internal calibrations and monitoring SQC charts for quality compliance

· Manages sample inventory, handling, shipping, storage, and disposal

· Conduct advanced scientific experiments

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

BS, Chemistry, Biology or Biochemistry, AAS or related experience

Preferable experience in quality control systems.
