Job Description
The Revelyst Legal team seeks a Senior Manager, Contracts and Legal Operations for one of our Revelyst locations. This position will assist the VP, Associate General Counsel and the Legal Department's leadership team by serving as a liaison with key stakeholders, identifying process improvement opportunities, and helping design and implement solutions to enable the Legal Department to more efficiently meet the business' needs. The Senior Manager, Contracts and Legal Operations will support the Legal Department's efforts to ensure effective communication, workflow management and long-term strategic development of the Legal Department.
This position reports to the VP, Associate General Counsel and will be located at one of our Headquarter offices (Irvine, CA, Bozeman, MT; Chesapeake Bay, VA or Utah).
As the Senior Manager, Contracts & Legal Operations, you will have an opportunity to:
Independently draft, review, negotiate, and finalize a wide variety of commercial contracts, including, but not limited to, non-disclosure agreements, professional services agreements, purchase agreements, engagement letters, statements of work, amendments, and other business/legal documents.
Provide analysis and recommendations to executive management for complex contractual issues. Advise management of contractual rights and obligations of the Company. Responsible for all litigation management including pre-litigation, investigation and litigation tracking, issuing legal holds, coordinating e-discovery and liaising with insurance carriers as necessary
Identify and facilitate cross-functional alignment with other key company functions, such as HR, IT and Finance.
Coordinate communication and development program for the legal department staff, Leadership team meetings; all hands meetings: training program; legal team retreats.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure efficient and effective legal operations
Stay up to date on changes in laws and regulations that may impact legal operations and advise on necessary adjustments to processes
Collaborate with the legal team to design, implement, and manage a comprehensive external legal resource management program that includes managed services, vendors, and outside counsel.
Partner with Legal Leadership to manage the relationship with preferred provider law firms and serve as liaison with relationship partners and Legal department staff.
Evaluate and benchmark performance, rates, and other KPIs and terms of preferred provider law firms and drive the use of alternative fee structures and billing arrangements.
Act as co-system administrator for the Legal Department's matter management and E-billing system (Legal Tracker), including responsibility for ensuring the integrity of data and overall matter management process efficiency.
Assist with training and technical support for the Legal Department's matter management and E-billing system.
Providing daily support to assist outside law firms and external vendors with submission of electronic invoices.
Compiling monthly reports regarding active matters, budget variance, and other metrics used by the Legal Department Leadership.
Support the Legal Department's financial management, strategic planning, vendor management, systems and technologies, knowledge management, and program management.
Drive and support departmental initiatives, including new and existing legal tools, and the use of technologies to increase efficiency.
Oversee the design, development, deployment of key processes, guidelines, templates and forms to improve efficiencies of the legal department.
Assist with workload and administrative management of the Legal Department's team of paralegals.
Developing agendas, minutes, documents and presentations relating to activities performed by the Legal Department.
Assist with the preparation and distribution of Legal Department communications.
Assist with space planning, facility requests, equipment requests, and on-boarding/off-boarding of staff.
Assist with scheduling and organizing Legal Department meetings, off-sites, outside counsel summits, and other special events.
Foster a sense of teamwork, success, and positive morale while assisting with maintaining a culture of appreciation and gratitude.
You have:
BA or BS degree with 10-15 years directly applicable work experience in a similar role
Experience in a corporate legal department or at a law firm preferred.
Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business.
Self-motivated and efficient, with good business judgment and detail oriented analytical skills.
Ability to efficiently manage large workload and react promptly to multiple deadlines while meeting personal and team objectives.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
Assist legal operations in meeting its critical team objectives by adding value and channeling positive energy to consistently deliver results that meet or exceed Legal Department expectations.
Must be able to work with highly confidential and sensitive documents and information and maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
Strong verbal and written communication skills (including email communications).
Pay Range:
Annual Salary: $147,000.00 - $173,000.00
The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
