Accounting Manager

Description We are looking for a dedicated Accounting Manager to join our team on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will oversee financial operations and provide strategic guidance to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data. Based in Saratoga Springs, New York, this position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the success of our clients by managing their financial needs effectively.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and oversee the development of accurate and timely financial statements.

Lead strategic planning and budgeting efforts to align financial goals with business objectives.

Ensure proper segregation of costs and compliance with relevant financial policies.

Serve as the primary liaison for managing relationships and reporting with banks, insurance providers, and external auditors.

Provide expert guidance to clients, ensuring their financial operations are robust and comprehensive.

Perform bookkeeping tasks tailored to client-specific needs and requirements.

Handle accounting processes based on agreed client statements of work.

Assist with month-end closing procedures, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accurate journal entries.

Conduct annual financial reporting and support audit preparation processes.

Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned to support client needs. Requirements - Proven experience with month-end close procedures and general ledger management.

Strong understanding of financial statement audits and compliance standards.

Expertise in account reconciliation and journal entry accuracy.

Familiarity with annual financial reporting processes.

Ability to manage relationships with external stakeholders, such as banks and auditors.

Excellent organizational and communication skills to navigate client-specific financial requirements.

Proficiency in bookkeeping and accounting practices.

Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining the integrity of financial data.
