Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Marysville, Ohio. This is a long-term contract opportunity for a detail-oriented individual who thrives in fast-paced environments and has a strong background in financial operations. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.

Responsibilities:

Process accounts payable transactions, including invoice coding and approvals, with accuracy and efficiency.

Verify and reconcile financial data to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Manage Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments and oversee check runs to maintain timely disbursement schedules.

Maintain detailed records of financial transactions and support audit requirements.

Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure proper account coding.

Perform monthly reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of accounts payable records.

Assist in the implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.

Respond promptly to vendor inquiries and ensure excellent communication and support.

Generate reports on accounts payable activities and provide insights to management.

Uphold confidentiality and security standards when handling sensitive financial information. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.

Proficiency in coding invoices and managing account coding processes.

Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and check runs.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work with high volumes of financial data.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for vendor and team interactions.

Proficient in using financial software and systems to manage accounts payable.

Ability to meet deadlines and maintain accuracy under pressure.

Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
