The Union County Commissioners' Office is now accepting applications for the full-time position of Budget Analyst. Under the administrative direction of the County Administrator, the Budget Analyst oversees and performs fiscal administrative functions for the County Administrator, Board of County Commissioners, and other offices under the Board of Commissioners' purview. Responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the fiscal operations for the County Commissioners; assists in preparing the County's annual budget; provides fiscal guidance to County offices and departments; completes projects, as assigned, and performs a variety of other financial-related tasks. QUALIFICATIONS

An example of acceptable qualifications: Associate's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or other related field; five (5) or more years of related experience (county government finance experience preferred); or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Must have strong interpersonal and communication skillls. Attention to detail and adaptability are also key components for success in this position. LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess a valid Ohio driver's license and maintain insurability under the County's vehicle insurance policy. EQUIPMENT OPERATED: The following are examples only and are not intended to be all inclusive: Personal computer, computer software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, and other applicable computer software), printer, scanner, copy machine, calculator, fax machine, and other standard business office equipment, motor vehicle. Experience with Tyler Technologies (Munis financial software) strongly preferred. INHERENTLY HAZARDOUS OR PHYSICALLY DEMANDING WORKING CONDITIONS:

* The employee has exposure to chemical compounds found in an office environment (e.g., toner, correction fluid, etc.); works in and around crowds; may have contact with emotional or distraught people; may be required to work irregular hours; occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl on even and uneven surfaces; occasionally required to lift, carry, push, or pull objects 25 1bs. or less.
