This role will focus on advancing GUIDE-AI, a leading initiative for evaluating and implementing AI technologies in healthcare.
As a Project Manager, you will oversee critical projects that evaluate the use of health AI in clinical settings and disseminate AI evaluation frameworks to stakeholders outside of Stanford. Your role will include managing activities to ensure all aspects of the program are progressing efficiently. You will work closely with principal investigators, healthcare professionals, data scientists, and external collaborators to drive the success of GUIDE-AI's initiatives, such as prospective AI evaluations and dissemination of results, AI evaluation methods, AI evaluation and monitoring software, and playbooks.
Duties include:
Manage project timelines, set goals, and drive accountability. Lead team meetings, oversee grant submissions, oversee prospective evaluations of AI tools, support manuscript preparation for publications, and support presentation generation.
The individual will collaborate with technical team members, including data scientists and software developers, to ensure GUIDE-AI's research output and work products are well suited for appropriate audiences (e.g., technical vs. non-technical, leadership, operational, general).
Analyze and interpret policies; develop, revise and implement procedures for program or function.
Drive the refinement and enhancement of GUIDE-AI's policies and strategic processes to support program quality and direction.
Lead the development of best-practice reports, summaries, and guidance documents and packaging for software tools for AI evaluation to support broader adoption of GUIDE-AI's frameworks.
Represent the program or function within the department, unit or school. Represent the program or function to external/internal stakeholders and constituencies.
Organize and/or participate in outreach activities that may include developing communications and training, and contributing to the planning/promoting events and/or conferences.
May participate in development of budgets, monitor, and approve expenditures. May perform limited forecasting and provide recommendations that determine the budget.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Multiple years of administrative experience in the academic setting, with expertise in communications, project management, educational event planning, industry relations and managing strategic initiatives.
Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in relevant field such as in biomedical informatics, computer science, health informatics, etc. is highly desired.
Experience developing and writing grant applications.
Experience with interdisciplinary teams, especially in healthcare AI or data science settings.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):
Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.

The expected pay range for this position is $100,023 to $124,516 per annum.
