Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Analyst to join our team in Rock Hill, South Carolina. In this role, you will focus on maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring seamless accounting operations. Your expertise in handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial data entry will be essential to supporting the organization's financial processes.

Responsibilities

Accounts Payable Operations:

Oversee all aspects of the accounts payable function, including invoice processing, outgoing payments, and vendor correspondence.

Ensure payments to vendors are processed promptly and in alignment with internal policies and contractual agreements.

Manage the AP email inbox, handling both PO-based and non-PO invoices, as well as logistics-related billing.

Verify invoice and employee expense report accuracy, confirming appropriate approvals and necessary backup documentation.

Allocate expenses to the correct general ledger accounts, spanning multiple departments and operational units.

Enter vendor invoices into the financial system with a focus on data accuracy and completeness.

Conduct 3-way matching of purchase orders, goods receipts, and invoices; follow up on any variances in cost or quantity.

Partner with internal teams and external vendors to troubleshoot and resolve payment-related concerns.

Support 1099 preparation and contribute to the completion of year-end accounts payable procedures.

General Accounting Support:

Contribute to the month-end close process, including journal entries and account reconciliations.

Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.

Review and validate employee expense reports for policy compliance and proper documentation.

Provide backup support for front desk operations as needed.

Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable roles.

Strong proficiency in data entry and financial record management.

Familiarity with invoice processing and expense reporting systems.

Knowledge of three-way matching processes for reconciliation.

Proficient in using accounting software, including QuickBooks.

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members.

Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve financial discrepancies.
