Description

We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Pineville, North Carolina. This role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the company's accounting operations within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong expertise in accounts payable, general ledger management, and month-end close processes.

Responsibilities:

Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice coding, reconciliation, and vendor payments.

Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Conduct monthly account and balance sheet reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.

Perform bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies promptly.

Assist with month-end close procedures, ensuring all financial data is properly recorded.

Handle fixed asset accounting tasks, including depreciation and ledger management.

Review and analyze cost of goods sold (COGS) details to support manufacturing cost accounting.

Provide support in accounts receivable functions, including credit memo processing and invoice reviews.

Utilize Microsoft Excel for financial data analysis and reporting.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards and practices.

Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable, general ledger, and accounts receivable functions.

Proficiency in preparing and posting journal entries with a strong attention to detail.

Skilled in performing reconciliations, including bank and balance sheet accounts.

Familiarity with fixed asset accounting and depreciation processes.

Knowledge of month-end close procedures and financial reporting standards.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial modeling.

Experience in manufacturing cost accounting is highly desirable.

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage high-volume invoicing efficiently.
