Hiring: Hybrid Senior Accountant

Schedule: Hybrid (3 days in-office: Mon, Tue, Thu; 2 days remote: Wed, Fri)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team and support the company's continued growth. Based in Rockville Centre, NY, this role is ideal for a self-motivated professional with a strong foundation in accounting who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to a company undergoing exciting transformation.

Key Responsibilities

Execute month-end journal entries, including fixed assets, depreciation, inventory, accruals, and prepaids

Prepare and maintain month-end schedules and assist in the preparation of financial statements

Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy across accounts

Support ad hoc accounting tasks and special projects as needed

Required Qualifications

3-5 years of accounting experience, ideally a combination of public and private sector roles

Strong understanding of accounting principles and month-end close processes

Proficiency in journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the CIP industry, including manufacturing, distribution, or retail

Background in public accounting, particularly in Assurance or Audit, with a transition into corporate accounting

Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting tools

Work Environment

Recently acquired by a private equity firm, the company is in a growth phase while maintaining a collaborative, family-owned culture

Hybrid work model: three days in-office (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday) and two days remote (Wednesday, Friday)

Office located inRockville Centre, NY, offering a balance of professional growth and work-life flexibility

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
