About the Role:

The Revenue Accountant is responsible for the accurate preparation, analysis, and review of financial statements using accounting principles. This position will ensure the timely and accurate recognition of revenue, unbilled accounts receivable, and deferred revenue. Assisting the month-end close of revenue with related reconciliations.

What You'll Do:

Perform company accounting operations and determine revenues and expenditures.

Prepare journal entries and perform account reconciliations.

Perform variance analysis.

Support month, quarter, and year-end close process.

Create accurate and timely financial reports.

Oversee deferred revenue.

Accurate recording of agent and referral commission revenue.

Prepare accurate calculations and perform daily maintenance for Early Termination Liabilities.

Prepare revenue related schedules for external auditors.

Assisting financial audits and implement audit recommendations.

Analyze contracts to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment and ensure compliance with revenue accounting standards.

Assisting process improvements to further streamline revenue tasks and improve the efficiency of the revenue close process.

Work closely with departments across the company to ensure business initiatives are implemented in line with accounting policies.

Support and assist with ad-hoc assignments and projects, as requested.

Do You Have:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting

2 - 5 years of experience in Accounting/Finance/Audit.

Experience in revenue recognition, including multi-element arrangements, is strongly preferred.

Strong understanding of revenue accounting rules under ASC 605 and ASC 606.

Advanced understanding of MS Excel including Pivot Tables and V-Lookups

Even Better:

CPA candidate or Licensee preferred.

Experience with Oracle and Salesforce preferred.

Ability to manage and thrive in change, both organizational and system.
