As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a prestigious hotel and resort location, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure and welcoming environment for guests, staff, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols throughout the property to help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:
Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials of guests, staff, and vendors in accordance with site-specific policies.
Provide customer service by assisting guests and responding to inquiries in a professional manner.
Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific protocols to help maintain a secure environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities according to Allied Universal and site procedures.
Support emergency response activities as directed by site management and Allied Universal protocols.
What We're Looking For:
Availability across various days and shifts
Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Minimum Requirements:
At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
