As a Security Officer specializing in access control at a prestigious hotel and resort location, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure and welcoming environment for guests, staff, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols throughout the property to help to deter security-related incidents. You will also interact with guests and staff, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding to inquiries or concerns. Utilizing technology such as alarm panels and access control systems, you will help to support the overall security-related operations of the location. What You'll Do:
Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials of guests, staff, and vendors in accordance with site-specific policies.
Provide customer service by assisting guests and responding to inquiries in a professional manner.
Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific protocols to help maintain a secure environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or concerns to the appropriate personnel at Allied Universal and/or site management.
Collaborate with hotel and resort staff to support a welcoming and secure atmosphere for all guests and visitors.
What We're Looking For:
Availability across various days and shifts
Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Minimum Requirements:
At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
