Description We are looking for an experienced Legal Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Sarasota, Florida. In this role, you will support attorneys in their daily operations by managing schedules, drafting legal documents, and ensuring effective communication with clients. This position requires strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of legal procedures, particularly in commercial litigation.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate and manage attorneys' calendars, ensuring appointments and deadlines are accurately maintained.

Handle client communications professionally, addressing inquiries and providing updates as needed.

Prepare and draft various legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts.

Utilize e-filing systems to submit legal documents efficiently and in compliance with court requirements.

Assist in the preparation and organization of materials for commercial litigation cases.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of legal files and correspondence.

Ensure timely communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, organizing case files, and managing legal documentation.

Support attorneys in researching and gathering information related to ongoing cases.

Monitor court deadlines and ensure all filings are completed promptly. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar legal support role.

Proficiency in calendar management and scheduling for attorneys.

Strong skills in drafting legal documents and familiarity with legal terminology.

Experience with e-filing systems and processes in various jurisdictions.

Knowledge of commercial litigation procedures and case management.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client relations.

Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

High level of attention to detail and accuracy in legal documentation.
