Job Overview

We are hiring a Legal Secretary for temporary and temp-to-hire positions. This role supports our legal team by performing administrative tasks, managing documents, and ensuring smooth office operations. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and format legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, and correspondence.

Manage attorney calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings.

Handle client communications, including phone calls and emails, with professionalism.

Organize and maintain case files, both physical and electronic, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.

Assist with court filings, including e-filing, and ensure compliance with deadlines.

Perform general administrative tasks, such as data entry, billing, and time tracking.

Support attorneys during case preparation, including research and document assembly.

Requirements

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or paralegal certification preferred.

Experience: 1-3 years of experience as a legal secretary or in a similar administrative role within a law firm.

Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal software (e.g., Clio, Westlaw).

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Familiarity with legal terminology and court procedures.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Attributes: Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
