Description

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Accountant to join our growing team in Starkville, MS. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting the financial operations of a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in general accounting and month-end close processes, with an understanding of manufacturing cost accounting highly preferred. Key responsibilities include:

Performing general accounting duties, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and managing the general ledger.

Supporting month-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Assisting with inventory accounting and reconciling inventory balances.

Coordinating with the operations team to track and analyze manufacturing-related expenses.

Contributing to financial analysis activities such as budget vs. actual variance analysis and forecasting.

Assisting with the development and implementation of internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of accounting experience; experience in manufacturing or with cost accounting is highly preferred.

Strong understanding of general accounting principles and month-end close procedures.

Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with manufacturing accounting systems is a plus.

Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with a detail-oriented approach.

Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations and finance personnel.
