Responsibilities You will direct and review the work of others in the development, maintenance, and enhancement of software elements for existing and future support equipment systems. You will define software engineering processes and identifies tools to be used across the organization in achievement of Software Engineering and System Engineering goals and guidelines. You will provide leadership and coordination during proto@type development. You will lead the generation of feasibility studies that advance state-of-the-art software technologies for application into support equipment systems. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DP-04/GS-12/13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing some or all of the following duties: 1.) Providing technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to management and engineers/scientists related to support for the planning, and coordination for the continuous improvement of Avionics Common Support Equipment (CSE) and Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE) projects; 2. Serving as subject matter expert in the design, development, and integration of software systems (e.g. compilers, run time systems, instrument interfaces/drivers, support tools) for Automatic Test Systems (ATS), especially related to the CASS Family of Testers (FoT) and related Test Program Sets (TPSs); 3.) Maintaining a cyber-safe environment for software systems, to minimize security risks while taking cost, schedule and performance into consideration; 4.) Defining, documenting, and overseeing execution of processes related to software design, development, test, and maintenance.
