Do you have a positive, service-oriented attitude and can problem solve and multitask? If so, then you are the perfect addition to our team! Provide administrative and clerical assistance for District 4 Juvenile Court Services to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities:
The Administrative Assistant will directly report to the 4th District Chief Juvenile Court Officer and be an instrumental part in the Juvenile Court Services leadership team.
This selected individual must be able to: - Effectively communicate administrative decisions, policies, and instructions at the request of the Chief Juvenile Court Officer to various stakeholders. - The selected individual will spend lengthy periods of their work week supporting numerous State and Local committees and work groups which are analyzing data integrity and policy development. - Understanding of not only juvenile court but court case management systems are preferable. - At times, their work may also include arranging meetings or interviews, oversight of schedules, preparing meeting agenda, notices, materials, and minutes, creating, editing, and format documents, reports, and presentations. - Draft and proofread correspondence, memos, and emails. Frequently this individual will use spreadsheets, databases, or documents to help in the decision-making process. - They will manage the office and supply inventory and other duties assigned by Chief Juvenile Court Officer. Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills for this position are: - Excellent verbal and written communication, knowledge of English, grammar, punctuation, spelling, editing, and proofreading. - Knowledge of court organization, functions, procedures, and legal terminology. - The ability to not only use but create word processing, spreadsheets, and other productivity software. - Ability to apply various Iowa Codes including but not confidential information and maintain compliance with 232.147, 232.149, 232.150 . - Adaptable to changing environment and priorities. - Attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to maintain discretion and professionalism.
This is a non-merit position with the Iowa Judicial Branch. Candidates must follow the instructions in the "To Apply" section.

Minimum Qualification Requirements
The incumbent must meet the minimum requirements to qualify for the position. 1) High school diploma (or high school equivalency diploma). 2) One year of related experience in office or administrative support Final candidates must be able to pass a criminal background check.
