What You've Accomplished

Completion of a BS in Electrical Engineering, Controls, Computer Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline

At least 2 years of directly related experience

Good communication skills including the ability to comprehend and convey detailed technical data (meetings, email, presentations, customer deliverables).

Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships.

Works collaboratively within a team environment.

Good problem identification and problem resolution skills.

Exhibits questioning attitude and practices self-checking.

Advanced level of Microsoft Office and business unit specific software tools (ex. CAD, FEA, CFD, etc.) and computer programming skills

Electrical and control systems design

Ability to communicate clearly and precisely in oral, written, and presentation format

Control system and electrical system troubleshooting

PLC/HMI programming and PLC system design

C#/.Net programming experience is a plus

This full-time role is about making an impact on people's lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As an Electrical/Controls Engineer in Lynchburg, VA, you will be part of the proven team in the Stearns Roger Services, Outage Services Business Line in the Installed Base Business Unit. Your work will include:

Participate in control systems and electrical systems design, for projects ranging from small to large.

Participate in all aspects of the product life cycle

Draft or review control & electrical system design documents, other technical documents and drawings to support products

Perform control system and electrical assembly, perform troubleshooting and testing on implemented designs

Your Total Rewards Package

The range of base salary for the position is between $75,000 - $97,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
