Position Summary
We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented leader to drive cost optimization across Walmart's international technology landscape. This role will specifically lead Software Asset Management (SAM) initiatives, oversee Flexera deployment and reporting, manage SaaS agreements via Zylo, and support global ITAM (IT Asset Management) efforts. These capabilities feed into the team's overall responsibilities of International Tech Cost Optimization. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in software licensing, vendor engagement, and operational excellence, with a strong ability to collaborate across markets and functions.
Key Responsibilities
Software Asset Management (SAM) & Flexera Oversight
Lead global efforts to ensure comprehensive software asset visibility through Flexera, Walmart's SAM platform.
Drive agent deployment across international markets, troubleshoot coverage gaps, and coordinate with local teams to ensure accurate reporting.
Collaborate with the Global SAM team to validate licensing compliance and optimize software spend.
Software Deal Leverage & Global Alignment
Partner with international markets to ensure full leverage of global software deals and enterprise agreements.
Align software procurement with Walmart's technology roadmaps to avoid duplication of capabilities and ensure strategic fit.
Identify opportunities for consolidation and standardization across markets to maximize cost efficiency and vendor value.
Act as a central point of coordination for global deal negotiations, ensuring transparency and alignment across all stakeholders.
SaaS Management via Zylo
Manage onboarding and reporting of SaaS agreements using Zylo, Walmart's global SaaS management platform.
Communicate with market CTOs and stakeholders to ensure timely updates and alignment on SaaS strategy.
ITAM & Lifecycle Reporting
Facilitate monthly ITAM meetings and develop reporting decks for international markets.
Maintain and evolve the Technology Lifecycle (TeLC) questionnaire to assess market maturity and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Vendor & Stakeholder Engagement
Serve as liaison between Walmart and key software vendors (e.g., Microsoft, Salesforce), supporting strategic discussions and quarterly business reviews.
Collect and synthesize market feedback for executive-level reporting and strategic planning.
Operational Excellence & Transition Planning
Contribute to Walmart's Operational Excellence initiatives by aligning technology metrics with business goals.
Develop and execute transition plans for role handoffs, ensuring continuity and minimal disruption.
AI Innovation & Agentic Automation Leadership
Lead efforts to harness transformative AI capabilities across international technology operations.
Champion the development and deployment of agentic AI solutions that automate workflows, enhance decision-making, and drive operational efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and embed AI into cost optimization strategies.
Foster a culture of innovation by mentoring team members and promoting experimentation with emerging AI technologies.
Required Qualifications
8+ years of experience in technology operations, software asset management, or IT procurement.
Proven expertise in Flexera, Zylo, and Power BI reporting tools.
Strong understanding of software licensing models, compliance, and vendor negotiations.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across global teams.
Experience in leading cross-functional initiatives and driving measurable outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in a global retail or enterprise technology environment.
Familiarity with Walmart systems and processes.
Multilingual capabilities or experience working across multiple cultural @contexts.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
