The role youll contribute:
The Pharmacy Manager, under the general supervision of the Pharmacy Director, is instrumental in the supervision and management of the daily operations and activities within the Pharmacy Department. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of quality patient care through the effective implementation and maintenance of medication preparation and distribution services. The Manager is tasked with the direct oversight of pharmacy personnel, including their development, ensuring appropriate staffing levels, and fostering positive relations among employees and guests. The position encompasses responsibilities such as medication dispensing programs, managing pharmacy automation, and overseeing medication inventory to guarantee the efficient and timely provision of pharmacy services and medication therapy. A significant aspect of the role involves establishing and maintaining open lines of communication with other departments within the facility and external entities, ensuring the integration of Pharmacy activities and objectives within the department through the development and implementation of policies and procedures. The Manager is responsible for assuring a well-organized workflow, maintaining labor productivity, and managing financial data within the Pharmacy Department. This includes accountability for customer services to both inpatient and outpatient care areas and facilitating communication between shifts. The role also demands active participation in operations, supporting pharmacist and technician scheduling, including coordination for pharmacy staffing shortages, and providing education to staff. The Manager enforces departmental and institutional policies, initiates development plans or corrective action as needed, and collaboratively oversees process improvement initiatives. In addition, the Pharmacy Manager plays a critical role in managing human, capital, and operational resources to support patient-care services, medication safety systems, regulatory compliance initiatives, and quality assurance programs throughout the Department of Pharmacy. The Manager actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all, acting as a performance improvement and safety champion. The position also involves assisting the Director of Pharmacy in the development, implementation, management, evaluation, and promotion of pharmaceutical services to ensure the timely, effective, cost-effective, and safe use of medications for patients, thereby upholding practice standards and regulatory compliance within their area of responsibility.

Manages operations and programs of assigned pharmacy area including staffing, hiring/terminations, evaluations and coaching for pharmacy techs and pharmacists.
Schedules pharmacy employees to meet productivity targets and department objectives.
Acts as liaison to campus leadership to resolve medication related issues and execution of campus strategies.
Effectively communicates with campus leaders and medical staff to promote cooperation and efficiency in providing patient's pharmacy care needs.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences youll need to succeed:
Doctorate Pharmacy degree (PharmD) Required
PHARMD - Licensed Pharmacist Required
