Project Engineer (Electrical)

Key Responsibilities

Project Initiation & Planning

Collaborate with estimating and leadership teams to define project scope and establish communication protocols.

Support the bidding process by reviewing RFQs, plans, and specifications to ensure clarity and accuracy of scope.

Design & Documentation

Design and document engineered systems including low-voltage distribution, motor control hardware, control panels, and instrumentation.

Perform detailed electrical and control system design, including logic validation, load and heat calculations, and UL 508A compliance.

Submit design packages for client approval and ensure alignment with internal quality standards.

Project Execution & Coordination

Manage project schedules, coordinate production, testing, delivery, and installation.

Release materials and equipment for procurement and fabrication.

Lead project meetings and resolve technical, scope, and budget-related issues.

Partner with the Engineering Manager and accounting team to support billing and Schedule of Values (SOV) processes.

Project Closeout & Continuous Improvement

Oversee project closeout activities including punch list resolution and final deliverables.

Conduct sessions and share feedback to improve future project execution and recognize team contributions.

Collaboration & Communication

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE preferred) or a related field.

A minimum of 3 years of electrical and instrumentation design and coordination experience

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
