Role Summary

We're looking for an enthusiastic Back-end Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of modern, cloud-based applications hosted on AWS. This role is ideal for someone passionate about building scalable backend services using technologies such as Java and Spring Boot.

What you will do:

Assist in designing and developing RESTful APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.

Collaborate with senior engineers to solve technical challenges and deliver high-quality features.

Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure robust and maintainable code.

Contribute to documentation, including technical specs and user guides.

Learn and apply best practices in software development, including agile methodologies and DevOps tools.

Communicate with team members and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.

What you will have:

Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

Software Development: Knowledge of software development tools and activities; ability to produce software products or systems in line with product requirements.

Software Integration Engineering : Knowledge of software integration processes and functions; ability to design, develop and maintain interfaces and linkage to alternative platforms and software packages.

Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

Consideration for top candidates:

A strong interest in backend development and eagerness to learn.

Experience working with Java 8+, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.

Experience working with relational databases such as Postgres, MySQL, or Oracle.

Good problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.

Some exposure to cloud platforms, preferably AWS, is a plus.

Experience working with Kotlin is a plus, but not required

Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML/CSS, JavaScript (Angular or React) is a plus

Additional Details:

This position has the option to be based out of either our Chicago, IL, Peoria, IL, or Irving, TX (Dallas), or Broomfield, CO offices.

Summary Pay Range:

$87,480.00 - $142,200.00
