Job Title: Manufacturing Technician I - P1

Location: Newark, CA

Pay Rate: $28 - $30 per hour

Schedule: Regular: Monday to Friday, 6 AM - 2:30 PM

Overtime: As needed, 5 AM - 3:30 PM (10-hour shifts)

Job Purpose

The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for executing filling and kit assembly functions independently within a GMP environment. This role ensures proper documentation aligns with manufacturing schedules and guidelines and includes participation in new product introductions or validations. Additional responsibilities encompass task prioritization, lab cleanliness, restocking, problem-solving, and continuous improvement contributions. Upholding safety and quality standards, as well as participating in cycle counts, and performing equipment calibration and maintenance as needed, also fall under this role.

Key Responsibilities

Execute filling and kit assembly tasks with limited supervision in a GMP environment.

Ensure production documentation follows the manufacturing schedule and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).

Participate in new product introductions/validations as required.

Prioritize and execute high-priority tasks, such as back-order jobs and special work orders.

Maintain laboratory cleanliness, including regular cleaning of facilities and proper waste disposal.

Restock, organize, and place orders for manufacturing consumables.

Actively resolve problems/issues related to responsibilities.

Support and initiate continuous improvement activities.

Maintain safety and quality standards in the manufacturing environment.

Participate in cycle counts as needed.

Occasionally perform equipment calibration and maintenance and assist in departmental tasks as required.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma.

Skills: Detail-oriented, efficient, team player with good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.

Experience: Previous experience in a biotech or pharmaceutical manufacturing setting is highly preferred. Familiarity with ISO 13485 is a plus.

Cleanroom laboratory environment

No travel required

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Standing for long periods

Performing repetitive tasks daily
