Job Title: Clinic Manager - Physical Therapist
Job Description
We are seeking energetic and dedicated Physical Therapists to join our dynamic therapy team. The Physical Therapist will be responsible for administering physical therapy treatments based on comprehensive evaluations of patients with injuries or dysfunctions in various systems, including musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, central nervous system, cardiovascular, and integumentary systems. The primary goals of treatment are to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent further disability. Responsibilities may be carried out independently or through appropriate delegation and supervision of support staff.
Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care for 100% of scheduled work hours, including all required documentation in the patient's medical record.
Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine appropriate care plans and follow-up treatments, which may include the fabrication and/or distribution of orthotics for the finger, hand, wrist, elbow, and/or shoulder.
Perform and document relevant tests and measurements, such as strength, range of motion, sensory perception, functional capacity, and respiratory/circulatory efficiency.
Administer physical therapy treatments within the scope of practice to reduce pain, improve mobility and strength, and enhance functional outcomes. Treatments may include modalities, therapeutic procedures, manual therapy, and home exercise programs.
Meet or exceed established productivity standards as defined by the therapy practice.
Assess treatment effectiveness at regular intervals (at least every 30 days) and adjust plans to maximize patient outcomes.
Accurately document treatments, patient responses, progress, and outcomes in compliance with federal and state regulations.
Select and document appropriate CPT codes that reflect the care provided and submit billing charges accordingly.
Adhere to insurance guidelines, ensuring care is coordinated with current authorizations, referrals, treatment plans, and benefit requirements.
Supervise physical therapist assistants and support staff during treatments, in accordance with state practice acts and federal regulations.
Participate in the supervision and education of students during clinical rotations, as applicable.
Collaborate and communicate effectively with other healthcare providers to support patient recovery and successful outcomes.
Actively engage in team activities, including staff meetings, events, webinars, in-services, and departmental meetings.
Support clinic operations, which may include flexible scheduling and coverage at alternate locations as needed.
Deliver care in compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations and professional best practices.
May be required to work a minimum of two evening shifts per week and occasional Saturdays, depending on clinic hours.
Essential Skills
Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
State licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state where practicing.
CPR for Healthcare Providers certification.
Experience and proficiency with computers and electronic medical records.
Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively.
Organizational excellence with demonstrated success in managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
Proficiency in Windows-based office applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
In-depth understanding of CPT and ICD-10 coding procedures.
Comprehensive knowledge of Medicare and third-party billing processes.
Familiarity with Workers Compensation insurance.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Professional demeanor in all interactions.
Proficiency in English for effective communication.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Proficiency in physical therapy, patient care, rehabilitation, recovery planning, and orthopedics.
Knowledge of administrative support and healthcare treatment plans.
Experience in coding and billing processes.
Work Environment
The Physical Therapy department is considered a welcoming and relaxed area, with patients seeking relief and improvement. Treatment rooms are private or semi-private, equipped with treatment tables, resistance bands, ultrasound machines, and other therapeutic tools. The department also features an open area for active rehabilitation with equipment such as stationary bikes, treadmills, balance boards, foam rollers, free weights, resistance machines, parallel bars for gait training, and mats for floor exercises. Continuing education opportunities are available, including quarterly webinars, Medbridge subscriptions, in-person courses, and a generous education budget. The work schedule may include evening shifts and occasional Saturdays.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
3% 401k contribution and then another 1.5% match
