Description: Fox Rothschild has an opening in the Chicago, IL office for a Labor & Employment Associate with three to five years of experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in all aspects of employment law, including employment litigation, client counseling and labor law. We are not currently accepting resumes from search firms for this position.

Qualifications: Juris Doctorate (JD) required. Must be licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Strong research, writing skills, and academic record.

Experience drafting and responding to discovery and initial pleadings and motions.

Large law firm experience strongly preferred.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment including, but not limited to computers, telephones, printers, and copiers.

Physical Requirements

Sedentary work: Exertion of physical strength to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 10 pounds. Work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties.

Visual Acuity

Worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this position applies to Illinois. The salary range reflects a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for a position. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this position is $220,000 - $240,000; bonus eligibility with qualifiers.
