SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for the coordination and operation of housing projects.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides timely briefings of project activities including problems encountered, homebuyer/tenant concerns and significant developments to Executive Director as necessary or as requested.
Maintains sufficient knowledge of applicable laws and regulations in order to ensure compliance at all times.
Establishes, coordinates, and administers the plan, in accordance with internal policy and procedures, for the control of housing operations including: eligibility testing procedures, waiting list maintenance, applicant selection procedures, tenant income recertification procedures, tenant and homebuyer transfers, move-in (out) orientation/check lists, receivables management and eviction procedures.
Oversees all housing activities through supervision of staff.
Completes monthly and annual reporting for Tax Credit projects, Senior Housing, and USDA Rural Development Projects.
Serves as the liaison to the software support company for resolution of problems associated with the utilization of accounts receivable module.
Monitors homebuyer equity accounts; serves as a liaison between the Executive Director, Accounting Department, Housing Management department, attorney, and homebuyer during conveyance period; ensures that all required steps are accomplished during the conveyance process by maintaining the Conveyance Checklist control.
Learn data entry and reporting into USDA MINC and EIV secure systems
Serve as State of Alaska Notary. 10. Alaska Drivers License and insurable to drive BBHA vehicles.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High school degree or GED; preferably post high school education related to position; combination of education and experience may be substituted for education requirements; minimum one year experience in similar position; Alaska drivers license.
Demonstrated ability to put data into an Excel table. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Able to read, understand and apply State and Federal Statutes and program regulations. Able to work a full-time regular position. Willingness to fly in small, unpressurized aircraft to villages in the Bristol Bay region. Willingness to attend training out-of-region or on-line through distance delivery to earn Industry Certifications. Comfortable working both with a team effort and also independently under program supervision to achieve job objectives. Previous housing management or NAHASDA Housing Certification Endorsements are preferred, especially Low Income Housing Tax Credit Specialist
